In April Astep launched their first range of products. Among these the revolutionary product Candela, designed by Francisco Gomez Paz. Candela continues the long tradition of Scandinavian flame luminaries by advancing the product with 21st century technology. From the heat of the flame, Candela produces its own electricity to provide a cosy LED illumination, while harvesting energy to charge mobile devices.
Lighting has always been at the center of life for founder Alessandro Sarfatti, working closely with his father Ricardo Sarfatti at Luceplan and studying the work of his grandfather, Gino Sarfatti. Each generation bringing an innovative direction to lighting and design.
By honoring the evolution in design, Astep will also be presenting re-edit iconic objects: timeless works by Gino Sarfatti and Vittoriano Viganò.
