Set against the dramatic backdrop of Bad Gastein, the cōmodo hotel offers a distinctive interpretation of alpine hospitality — where local context meets a subtle sense of nostalgia.

The hotel has been thoughtfully reimagined by owner Barbara Elwardt together with designer Piotr Wisniewski, resulting in a space that feels both characterful and contemporary. The interior concept draws on the spirit of a 1960s alpine resort, combining modern elements with carefully considered vintage references to create an atmosphere that feels both cool and inviting.

We’re proud to see our Le Sfere lamps featured throughout the project — from the impressive lobby to the spa area and restaurant — contributing a soft, sculptural light across different moments of the space. Designed by Gino Sarfatti, the piece fits perfectly within the space and the rest of the furniture, which draw inspiration from the 60s and 70s. It’s one of his most iconic series — exploring the relationship between opaline glass spheres and structural metal elements, a language that feels both rational and poetic, and still very relevant today.
