Astep now launches Isol floor, as a part of the Isol collection of acoustic lamps designed by David Thulstrup with Snowsound technology®.
Embracing the shape of a cylinder, Isol offers elegant functionality pared down to its simplest expression. Envisioned as a decorative element, at the same time functional and minimalist, Isol embodies David Thulstrup’s impeccable visual language within interior design together with Astep’s innovative approach to design.
The patented Snowsound Fiber textile lends the lamp outstanding sound absorbing qualities and acoustic performance. Furthermore, supporting Astep’s sustainability vision, the fabric is completely recyclable while carrying a Greenguard Gold certification for being a low emitting product that contributes to improve indoor air quality.
A seamless transparency is created, while embracing the diecast aluminium rings, allowing the lamp to melt into the scenery. Part sculpture, part acoustic solution, and part light source, Isol can be used in a variety of combinations and in private and public environments as an aesthetic way of bringing acoustic properties into a space. Alone, it convinces through quiet authority offering a sense of privacy.
In multiples, its distinctive character is enhanced in the suspension version furthermore by connecting the rings to extend lighting and noise absorbing power.
